Bill Croasmun helps clients see future possibilities, discover new opportunities, and make good decisions. Bill enjoys designing and leading workshops where clients create and learn together. He also loves to gather data, organize it, figure out what it means, and work out the implications for clients. Some of his favorite projects use foresight as the springboard for innovation.

Bill has enjoyed working with a wide variety of clients, including Abbott Nutrition, Best Buy, British Petroleum, Johnson Controls, the National Association of Home Builders, and NeighborWorks America.

Bill has worked as a futurist for six years, including four with Social Technologies (now Innovaro). In his first career Bill spent more than 20 years in research and development at Kraft Foods, serving most recently as Program Director for Emerging Science and Technology.

Bill has a PhD in chemistry from Caltech, earned a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from North Park University, and holds two US patents. Bill led Social Technologies’ flagship multiclient research program, the Futures Consortium, for which he has written frequently. He has also prepared numerous technical publications and presentations in analytical chemistry and food science and co-edited two editions of Two-Dimensional NMR Spectroscopy: Applications for Chemists and Biochemists.
